GOD DAM! it sounds amazing!! Now we only have to wait 6 months to play it? I CANT WAIT!!

Online Challenge: Oil Rush has a day 1 starting population 425. Its the largest map ever created, and has over 24 oil fields. Its on page 2 of the online challenges.

According to Strategyinformer.com, it will be release in May across EU. What about NA ?
It looks promising, I can't wait to lay my hand on it. Smile

Really hopes this becomes DLC for the 360. It would be a shame for Xbox players to miss out on this. I'd guess there'd be a pretty good uptake on extra content for this game.

Nothing changed with the transportation system?

Are the stupid garages still existing?

Seeing that the exp is just for adding decoration, nothing new for gameplay.

This mustn't called EXP but STUFF, lol.

Dirt roads, small garages...yes some transportation has changed, or at least new things added in.

Not sure what is decorative about the new loyalist faction or addition of a prevalent faction...

An idea for the expansion pack. For sandboxes you don't start with any buildings, but you are forced to build your Palace and economic buildings, I prefer to have control over where my buildings are... also a selection of palaces? Like Stronghold, where you could have really shabby or really nice castles.

This makes me want to contribute more to the ideas and suggestions thread. A pity I have no more ideas. Sad

Regardless, this news has made my day. Will pre-order. Big Grin

RE: Tropico 3 "Absolute Power" Announced - First Screenshots
I hope there are a decent bit of new buildings. For me, this is what makes the game great. Decorations and statues are nice and all but I'm not gonna pay $20 unless there are a decent bit of new buildings that will add to the game play. I really do hope they add more buildings for Industry. There are lots of good ideas on new buildings in some of the other threads. I hope they the developers use some of ideas.

I also hope that they will improve transportation and construction. Late in the game transportation becomes hell. I'm sure the smaller garages will help some but I still think there needs to be some new buildings implemented to help this problem. Mass transit would be a good start.

Sorry if this has been asked, but, will this also be available from the Xbox Live Marketplace?

I prefer a disk and box, but it would be kinda hard to justify getting it to the misses.

If its DLC however, she never needs to know Big Grin

Edit: Pardon me, noticed you never said it if itll be out on 360. Ignore this post.

Very nice. The new factions should make it more interesting gameplay.

I hope that the add-on comes along with a map editor because making challenges for the random maps (which most of the time do look the same) is not so much fun Sad
But the rest sounds interesting, especially the little garages ^^

New faction, singular, not factionS, plural.

Also, the twin palaces on one of the screenshots are a bug/mistake/unfortunate misunderstanding. One island, one people, one presidente, one palace!

Those responsible for taking the screenshots have been sacked. Those responsible for sacking them too.

Or two nations on one island!? That would be... just, awesome.

"coop", of course, not coop - all about backstabbing, and trying to poison the other presidente's daiquiri (or however it is spelled)

One El-Presidente controls the rebels, the other controls the military. Whoever is left standing controls Tropico.

I was right when you said that you prefered expansion packs to DLC !
So happy !
*An other game that I will have to buy*
Edit : On the Screen Shot with the president with is police cars there is a garage on the left I don't think i've seen that in the game yet Wink.
Edit2: And it's cool we will have WindMill , that means that the pollution will be more important in that expansion pack. Big Grin
I hope that there will be more Building skins Tongue

There might be 2 palaces by accident. You know sometimes they release screenshots if not of actual gameplay the scene is just set up so it shows off some new features.

Online Challenge: Oil Rush has a day 1 starting population 425. Its the largest map ever created, and has over 24 oil fields. Its on page 2 of the online challenges.
