Just did some testing to validate, and this tested as reproducible on my end.

If you schedule a movie that ends at midnight, that movie will never reset. I have not yet tested to see if it's at the end of your day regardless when it ends, I can only confirm that a movie that ends at midnight when that is the end of your day will never reset.
