Hi there!

On this mission i was told to photograph three anomalies. However when i get near one of them and the text "To use the holo camera, press A) comes up i can press A all day long and all i get is the error sound.. What am i doing wrong? I was reading in a FAQ that you had to scan them first.. Tried that but it didnt make any difference.

You don't need the scanner for this mission.

You must flight in the right postion to made the screen. Fly near then <1u (0,7u is good), the anomalie must be in the middle from the HUD and use the camera. I hope it works.

Nope, doesnt work. I stopped the ship exactly 0.7u from the anomaly with it totally centered in my crosshairs and it still gives me the error sound when i try to activate the camera. Im certain that its the right system (Ken`ore) with the right anomaly because Eona told me that she was setting up the camera, and when i get 1u from the anomaly it tells me to push A to take the picture, but nothing..

I even tried tapping A continously from 2u untill i drove right through the anomaly but nothing happens.. Im starting to think this is a bug that will prevent me from finishing the game.

Has anyone played further than this on Broken Alliance? Im aware that the game is quite new so any bugs might not yet have been reported.. Is this the first one?

Strange, you are the first with this bug. German players have passed this mission.

Maybe you must select the holo cam in the "special items (LB Button)" menu and then can you press A to made a screen.

Theres no option for Holo Cam on any menu. Are you supposed to buy this camera somewhere?

For what I remember from the PC version, you should get the camera from the one who gives you the mission.
Unfortunately I'm unable to check it, as my disk is scratched and thus made things unplayable.

No, the holo cam is a item for this mission and this will added automatic. I think the problem isn't the mission giver more the problem that the cam isn't anywhere.

In the pc version open you the special item menu and then click on the holo cam. That's it. But sometimes the players have problems that the camer isn't available in the menu. To fix this problem the players must uninstall all special items (afterburner boost, shield boost, jammer etc.) from the inventory and the holo cam will be available.

Maybe the same way work for you sirjamalot.

I'm playing the 360 version at the mo, still in Raptor territory going to all the research bases and have not come across this mission yet, will look out for it and see what happens. If you solve the problem post back

Yes!

Backtracked about 2 missions before this one, sold everything i had under special items and it worked! I had to sell them though, only unequipping them didnt work.

I have also ecountered the same problem. Selling the special items does not work. This is extremely frustrating that this bug exists in a game that I paid $60 for.

Frustrating bug, yes, but no patch in the planning, i think.

one thing i think i remember from that mission, is that i had to get real close and when i was close enough t Iona ( the girll co pilot) told me that i was close enough.
The picture thing is funny , when i did normal terminal given missions that camera never seemed to work, just stopped doing those.

Dear Xbox 360 owners: Sorry our $60 game doesnt work, but we already have your money, so piss off.

Thats just sad. Ill never buy another Kalypso game again, and Ill make sure I tell everyone I know about the excellent customer support.

Lol. Great post. Unfortunately, these bug discussions will turn out just like they did over on the Tropico 3 board.

Has an answer for this problem been found? I bought the game recently for my Xbox and have been playing happily up to this point where it won't let me progress - I've tried selling the equipment, doing other side quests before going to an anomoly location but nothing has worked.

Still no patch available. It seems Kalypso media is making a habit of screwing their consumers out of the full game. Im more than happy to trash their games on Metacritic and wherever else I can. Issue a patch and I'll gladly take it back and give glowing reviews on customer service. Until then, screw Kalypso and their crappy ass games.
