hi
i thought that i should let you know that the experience and resource gain ratio for hot seat doesn't work
no biggy but it kind off looks stupid when there are buttons for it
i tried to test it with 10x/10x, 1x/10x, 1x/3x but none of them gave any more than normal experience

I can confirm Overlord5's bug, it's not a huge deal but something to look out for Smile

Can't say if it really qualifies as a bug but everytime I'm leaving the city screen it takes ages to go back top the map and all I have to wait on is a black screen .. I dunno maybe it's a known problem and there's a workaround .. I mean it's not a showstopper but definetely a bugger ...

Hi All,

I just received my copy of Disciples 3 from Amazon today and it seems my tutorial is completely broken.

It loads and gives me the first bit of text, after clicking "continue" the advisor dissapears and the game freezes, no tutorial and no way to exit except CTRL+ALT+DEL > End Task Sad

I have tried various compatibility settings but nothing fixes it that I can see Sad

My system:

Intel Core 2 Duo e6750 2x2.66Ghz
nVidia Geforce 680sli Mainboard
4xGb Corsair XMS 800Mhz RAM
nVidia Geforce 8600GT 512MB
Windows 7 32bit Ultimate

I would really like to be able to run the tutorial as this game is for my Grandad and it would be very helpful for him...and as I've paid my money now I'm feeling a little cheated... Sad

Please advise / patch Smile

Please update your graphics card driver, this usually resolves the issue.

If you can, please post your DxDiag (refer to your game manual on how to do this) here or contact support@kalypsomedia.com

Hi Timo,

Thanks for the advice, updated the drives but problem persists Sad

I've just emailed your support team as I don't want to dirty this thread with my one problem! Smile

Hopefully your team will see more from the DXDIAG output than I do! Smile

Thanks again,

Hi there,
I found one very strange bug. When atack neutral city, sometimes one of defenders is outside battlefield and only way to reach him is with archer, mage or battle spell. Sad

The agility permanent potion add + 5 to dexterity and not to agility .

Edit: Same the 10 turns powder of accuracy, it gives + 30 to dexterity and not to agility.

Also the buffs from various places across the map do not stay 10 turns (like is suggested when you keep the mouse over the buff name ) .

I found few bugs:

- Some of the tutorial text does not match with the video and the title.

- When you upgrade a unit in the training camp then switching to another unit the previous unit is still there along with the picture of the upgraded unit.

- I have played the hot seat mod and when I killed the elves boss the screen went white.

One of the maps in hotseat seem to have a bugged bridge (the one to the left). The maps is the largest one I believe, "Islands"...

I've noticed a few that haven't been mentioned yet:

-Opening the help menu during combat results in distorted colours.
-The Combat AI needs a look, as I've noticed my ranged units not firing when I have auto combat on.
-The Combat log doesn't display events properly during longer combats.
-The mouse will sometimes lock-up after dialogue scenes end.
-Ineol's Lightning Bolt ability does no damage nor does it simply miss. The lightning visual effect is displayed, but otherwise it is like the game does not register it. When the AI controls Ineol, Lightning Bolt works as intended.

And while this is not a bug, per se, the Elven archer's Multi-attack" ability (By sacrificing an attack this round, you have a chance of making two attacks next round) serves no purpose, as far as I can tell. While this is a semi-useful ability for melee units who may not always be in range, and thus can "save" the extra attack chance for when they get in range, there is no reason for a ranged unit not to fire.

Otherwise... keep up the good work!

Hi guys, I've encountered a really nasty bug - in skirmish or hotseat health regeneration doesn't work! I tried it with a warrior or any other type - in castles you regenerate little but while somewhere on the map it doesn't work at all... has anyone noticed the same bug??

Thanks in advance and I hope I helped a bit here!

Hi,
In Map 4 of the Empire, when trying to build I find myself in the elven capitol and unable to switch to my own cities. In general there seem to be some issues with switching between cities.

Another issue I found is faulty display of the cover points when rightclicking units in combat (always at max).

Thanks and good luck with the patch.

PS a revised inventory system would be really really helpful, might keep that in mind for the patch as well.

I actually like the fact that they are somewhat hard. Just change the way you play, and you will be fine Smile

Several things here that i found in Hot seat mode with two human players.

- When in combat with eachother Player 2's inventory does not open
-Also either players cover ability crashes combat

-Various spells/runes have the wrong text and gives the wrong buffs

-Various places on several Hotseat maps are blocked by scenery and cant be acessed

-Several of the bridges on the islands map are facing the wrong way and cant be crossed

In response to an earlier post: The only thing i can think of that makes the archers "Extra attack" ability is if you were running to get to a 2x node at the begining of combat otherwise it is pretty useless.

Keep in mind I'm only on Empire Act 4 so far, playing the hardest difficulty. So far, I've come across these issues.

Bugs:
1. Clicking build button in right menu when a neutral city is selected will bring you to a build screen where all construction buildings are grayed out, as opposed to your capital's build screen.
2. For Empire Act 3, I saw a lot of cities being called "neutral city", rather than by the city name, making it incredibly hard to determine which city you're in.
3. Loading a save when your hero has more than 15 movement will bring it down to 15.
4. Static potions aren't static if applied to characters like Inoel, only static for your main hero.
5. Load Screen -> There is no "savename bar". So if the title of the save is too long, you can't see it on the left side of the menu (all the act 3 saves, I can't see the turn number as a result).
It would also be nice to be able to delete saves in the load screen, just like the save screen.
6. Critical Hit Chance always says 0 for heroes, rather than a percentage number.

Problems:
1. Your main hero will carry runes and artifacts between levels, but not potions?
2. What on earth is the point to artifact locations when your hero can't buy anything for him? You can get it for the generic heroes, but that's it.
3. The AI could be much much better. It's just too stupid, even on hardest difficulty.
- Enemy melee units always attack closest targets.
- Ranged seem to just randomly pick targets. There is no focus fire to take out a unit!
- Enemy heroes never run, always attack no matter how strong you are.
4. Lambart's "polymorph to peasant" skill is way overpowered.
5. There are abilities that have no description of what they do at all, like:
Warrior of Light, Child of the Sun, and Shadow Stalker.

There are no fog of war on some maps in single/multiplayer maps... Actually there is supposed to be, but when you start a new game the maps arent instantly hidden with fog of war, so that if you save the game when the map is shown completely, well then the map wont add fog of war at all (its like you explored it already).
I do not know exactly when the fog of war is added, but I tabbed out of the game once and came back 5 minutes later, and the map then had been given fog of war.
This is in my opinion major bug Tongue Anyone else that can confim this??
or is my computer to fast for the game ;D

EDIT1: After looking into this, it seems the fog of war dissapears after loading a saved game as well (even though it had been saved when fog of war were working). Fog of war does work again after a while, but gives the players a few minutes to scout the map (cheating in other words).

EDIT2: OK, I was wrong, the ONLY way to ativate fog of war in hotseat is by tabbing out it seems Tongue (Only way it worked for me).

Yes this has happened to me too especially in Hotseat mode, which to say the least is extremely frustrating as we could see each others nodes. A major problem here that needs to be fixed.

hot seat have several bugs
i don't know if it was the result of me putting up the 10x experience boost but when my creatures leveled up they skipped until next upgrade...
the game had problems with 2 players battling each other, among the problems only the attacking player could use spells, creatures ability and inventory items, and when one of my creatures did the cover thing the game was stuck, it didn't freeze i was just unable to do anything.

also the eleven knight (the guy with the lance and horse), seems a bit crappy, he needs to be a bit more balanced, he dies nearly imidatly

I agree with the Elven starting infantry, they are extremely underpowered and die almost the first/second turn of combat if not protected to the max.
