Features that I believe are missing in game!
- A lan mode.
- Larger maps for multiplayer as well for singleplayer games. I do not like to compare this awesome game with "heroes of might and magic 5" but I will do that just this once (for now). In "HoMM V" you had the option to make Impossible maps which equaled to 320x320, and even if I thought that to be rather small as well, AT LEAST you could also add an underground which then instead equaled to 640x640 (which were an ACCEPTABLE size for a map). At least allow US the option to make incredible huge maps in final map editor.
- Add "random map generator" either ingame or in map editor, and allow us to change those maps afterwards in map editor (to our liking).
- More maps for multiplayer and singleplayer, mostly for MP though!
- More factions (hopefully dwarfs and undead, and if we are lucky, some totally new ones in the future).
- In multiplayer and singleplayer maps, the option to choose "Teams" (be two against one player, and so on).
- Add the option to use undergrounds for "map editor" and also add that to future maps.
- More buildings to build in town. There are VERY few "additional buildings" (Should be 10 or so), and I do not like the fact that just because elves (for example) are a ranged race, they have only 4 buildings for fighting units... The ranged buildings for elves (for example) should equal to all the type of units. Just because "Empire" are a melee race shouldnt mean that they have fewer ranged units/buldings to train/build! Their ranged units should only be weaker compared to elves. Thats it!
- Allow us to choose leader before starting a multi/singleplayer game.
- Add more leaders, OR allow us to choose gender. I do not want to play as a FEMALE warrior (so add male and such).
- Maybe the leaders could change appearance somewhat as some levels are achieved. The mage in empire uses a staff which is a fact that he is untrained, maybe after reaching level 10 he uses rod, and later only hands etc etc.
- Add campaign heroes to single/multiplayer games, (Should be simple enough).
- Also I can understand that the leaders do not use horses in tactical map (wouldnt be cool), but they should use a horse when traveling in the world map.
- In general, give the multiplayer as well as singleplayer more options and make it easier to use. (For example, showing size of the maps before choosing one, such as small, medium, large, huge, incredible huge etc etc).
- Add some more music-tracks, just for MORE diversity.
- Also add option for an "arena mode" for multi/singleplayer games, where you only fight a pre-customized battle (choosing units and leaders depending on how many "points you have", for example).
- Add ships/boats if possible (if it does not ruin original game experience to much).
- Ability to trade resources with other players, so if one player is in trouble you can give him som gold (for example). And you do not have to be in the same team to do that.
- Allow teams to be created from start of game, AND/OR when in game break the "pact" or make a new one etc.

These were my thoughts and hopefully some might be implemented in future patches or addons/expansions And thanks for a great game!

PS: Will update list as more thoughts appear Tongue

Isnt there "autosave" for each turn and "battlesave" before every battle... I do think that counts somewhat as continue :O
But yes, it could be a good feature if those save options have been turned off in the option menu.

Strange it is... But in that case, "battlesave" is your friend! Wink

How about being able to double click to learn a spell, or cast it like in d2? Hmm...? Reducing casting animations, faster world movement?

What is up with not being able to station your leader in your town?

There were a few other things I thought of when playing, that was slightly annoying, but its late and I can't remember for shite. Also auto path finding type clicking was very annoying in the beginning, with the "can't move here" I was like "so how about you put me on the closes path then douche" damn looks like a path, but isn't -_-

Why is there no info on the save files? in the load screen, it should say for each save file the date/time it was created or at least the turn (the turn info was there in D2, i believe). correct me if i'm wrong, but i did not see any of these.

Cheers!

I dont know if they would be able to implement that feature in this late stage (such as with many of my "suggestions), BUT I also would like to see something such as that.

It would cool to have a "Grand Campaign" mode. A huge map FFA that would take 200+ turns to finish. By the end of the game you would have 5 20+ level leaders, multiple towns to hold for bonuses and more high level dungeons and raw set items to outfit your leaders. If this ever exist in Disciples I would quit my job just to play it.

Haha, I hate large maps because they get boring (=easy) after a while when you start to dominate game, even if you have less then 25% of the map. It just becomes grinding. But I guess people are different. Wink

Come to think of it, I think this can be done with the map editor when it is out of beta. Just make a huge map and put loot behind worthy "boss" neutrals or set them as treasure if possible. I have already edit the dungeons for my game to have high level spawns and neutral towns with bonuses. Now we just need to wait for Undead and Dwarf to have the 5 race FFA.

I got to ask. Do you think its boring singpleplayer or multiplayer?
I guess I somewhat agree singplayer, but nothing beats a HUGE map with a friend or two. Just gathering up for a battle/battles that will take forever Big Grin

Huge maps with AI is just bad, but I was talking about against humans. Imagine huge battles back to back, both sides struggling to get hold of this town because of its bonus. In single player, it would be just you stomping them, but when against a decent player, you will need some serious strategy planing and grinding to beat them, and that's where the high level dungeons and items comes into play.

If that is possible with the final map editor I am fine with that. they dont need to create the maps for us, AS LONG as we ourselves can do it! Smile
