It would be easy to mod, but I'm not doing it (at least not yet Wink ).

PS to Clayman your signature is my favorite, my friends and I laugh about it in the game since you pointed it out. Maybe that sound bite could be switched to white wizards.

RE: Complete list of combat abilities
If changes made in the 1.06.2 US/UK patch mimic those made in the russian 1.06.2 patch, then a lot of skills descriptions have been changed. Now for example you don't have that flavor text but instead you have this:
n_poison_nameid_id "Poison";
n_poison_descid_id "Poisons the selected opponent for $(duration) turns. The poisoned opponent loses $(curse_death) HP each turn.";
n_poison_effectid_id "Poisons the selected opponent for $(duration) turns. The poisoned opponent loses $(curse_death) HP each turn.";
Descid string contained flavor text before but as of patch 1.06.2 contains the description you see now. If you're unhappy with the overall translation look at my sig.

RE: Complete list of combat abilities
Playing in french, with 1.06.2
About Polymorph, I saw a Doplleganger transform to my mage hero (secondary hero).
And once he transformed to a Tiamat.
Not sure if Tiamat in french=Beliarch in english.
But for the 1st one it is surely not a Beliarch.

Is that a bug in the game or description is wrong ?

Imarion
PS: Polymorph is not at its place considering alphabetic order Wink

I haven't controlled a doppelganger but i have seen it transform to pretty much anything on the battlefield. I think the ability is: Transform to target creature.

Fixed. Also Doppelganger can transform to any unit.

Well, it seems that the various abilities now have exact values instead of percentages like before. For instance, whirlwind now does 14 damage to each enemy around the caster. Dunno if this ability or any other scale with levels. Could be the damage increases either with levels or if you increase a certain stat.

I have to check that. I also noticed that Whirlwind and similar melee abilities don't gain bonus from the node, like in 1.05.08.

Okay, did some checking and I can confirm that the Cannibal skill(Devour) seems to improve with each level. I've tested this with the Devil unit in the first Legion mission, and when he leveled up without changing into a Demon the damage output for the skill changed from 10 to 11 and the received HP stayed the same (100 HP).

@Clayman
You forgot to list the Rage ability which now grants +50 to strength and -25 to dexterity and lasts for 5 turns.

The 14 damage whirlwind is what Goblins do with it. When I had the ability on Lambert he was doing significantly more than that. It does seem to be the 60% as noted. I would think it scales with Strength like other melee attacks.

Also, while under the effects of Extra Attack, sometimes I could Whirlwind twice but most times if I WW'd I'd lose the extra.

Not by 50%, but -50 armor. Thanks for pointing this out.

RE: Complete list of combat abilities
Death Blow Does 200% of normal damage, but causes you to lose 10% of your health. Feedback damage is reduced by armor.

actually, the values in the effect file just mod damage applied to both enemy and self as a percentage of the user's attack power.

so, if you have AP 100, you do 200 damage, and receive 25 damage back. the received damage does depend on your armor.

I always thought the feedback was a bit low, since it's so easy to mod up armor. I changed it to 200/50 on mine, so does double AP, receives half AP.

In any case, the damage received is not based on your health, it's based on your AP.

actually, it scales with AP, not strength. Obviously, if the character using it only mods AP based on strength, the two are equivalent. some chars use both strength and dex, but I can't recall if any also use a whirlwind attack.

Thanks for posting this information Clayman. Smile
I've been searching for days trying to find a Special Abilities list.
It sure was an oversight by the dev's not to have a mouse over tool tip or at the very least include the info in the game manual.

Btw, Deathblow's feedback damage can also be dodged. My Haarhus build is 100% AGI pump when leveling. At around 100 AGI, the feedback misses him over 50% of the time.

Will add that. It does seem like a bug, although a minor one.
