Question Request for a Overview of Status, Bugs and Issues Thread
After playing the first one and a half acts I decided that I am just going to stop and wait until the majority of the bugs have been fixed. The problem is I can't find a good place that lists the status of the game and its bugs in an easy to read manner. I mainly want to look at it once a week to get a status as to when I can start playing again. The "Bugs and other Problems in Disciples 3" thread while useful is just getting too big (150+ posts) to keep up to date with especially since the sub-subjects are intermingled. It would be cool to have a sticky thread that only moderators can post to, that is almost more of an updated FAQ then a normal forum thread.

As I imagine it, its first post would be the current status, version of patches, estimates on when the next patch could be available, etc. The second post could be like pensuke89's incredibly useful post ( http://forum.kalypsomedia.com/showthread...6#pid47436 ) that just lists all the known bugs in 1.06. This bug list post could also include links to threads dedicated individual bugs as to keep them from spamming the Bugs and other Problems main post. The third post could just be summaries and links to some of the more useful/noteworthy discussions on the game. Fourth could be Mods and Maps. Then limit the thread to only these four posts (or maybe add a new post for each update or expansion) to keep it concise.

Mainly, while the forums are really great and active they are a bit difficult to digest in one bite if you don't read them every day. It would be cool for the new or causal reader to have a place to go and catch up quickly. It seems like it could also cut down on repeat questions. So, my questions are: Do others think it would be useful? Is most of this information available somewhere else? Does this seem like it would be a cost effective expenditure of the moderators time?

Yes. I agree with you completely.

Very much so.

However, I'm not sure Kalypso, being the publisher, is involved with bug squashing. I believe they handle distribution and marketing outside of Russia. Akella is the developer, but they're Russian. .Dat is the Russian publisher.

I guess it depends if the international version is coded differently. If it coded the same however - the game already has a community with dev feedback on where things are at. This just isn't one we can participate in, unless you speak the language.

If anything, Kalypso would be wise to have Akella inform them of the general patching progress; issues that have been identified and are being worked on, etc.. and post an english translation of this here for others to see.

For all we know, all the bug reporting that we're doing is redundant and have already been reported on the official site by the Ruskies.

The russian version recently got patched to 1.06.01 which eliminated some of the bugs listed on this forum. As for the english version here is a post from Oyuka from the russian forums who is a designer working on the game:
In the near future for the foreign version will be released a new patch, which will be published Kalypso.

I think it's the other way round.

RE: Request for a Overview of Status, Bugs and Issues Thread
I guess what I was suggesting was more of a central summary of knowledge that would also acknowledge the bugs more then a real dev oriented bug tracker. To filter the content out of the Bugs and other Problems (B&OP) thread as well as others and link them to dedicated posts. I just assumed that the Devs or their QA team where mostly aware of these bugs or at least would have someone reading the B&OP thread daily and filling bug reports.
I also think that Disciples 3 has the potential to be as big as Tropico 3 and its sub forum has 2000+ threads in it. It would be cool to get ahead of that growth with some type of sticky thread FAQ that collates and organises important threads in one place. Like Plague's link to the ru forum, useful but unless he posted it in this thread I wouldn't have known.

Yep, you're right. My bad. Typo.

Also, I should take back my words on the comment about posting bug reports here as possibly being redundant. I saw a post from Kalypso saying that the devs have special interest in the bug thread here. Assuming of course those words are true, then perhaps our voice isn't wasted breath.

A central summary of knowledge like Spamme said would be great. This site feels too general. Sub-forums would help. I noticed there are no english community fan sites up for D3 yet. I'm sure once one does, and if it is decent, things might move there. I'd love to see a modding and map section once things settle.

Well, it would make it a lot easier for the dev if the "Bugs and Problems Report" thread is not filled with duplicate issues.

RE: Request for a Overview of Status, Bugs and Issues Thread
Yeah, a state of the game thread should have the first post as something that contains the master list that gets edited with updates as people post new bugs and content wants.

It's a daunting task and needs someone who is a frequent flyer here. I'm not too good at those details myself. Kalypso should be the ones, but I've never seen a publisher or developer host something like this. It usually falls on the community to organize it.
