Is there a way to change the scroll speed of things like the main map screen, perhaps by editing a config file? I can't express how awful I find having to hold down the WASD keys for 5 seconds before the screen starts scrolling at anything but a snails pace. My preference would be to have no acceleration at all with the scroll speed starting at maximum.

BONUS QUESTION:

Are the various balance issues likely to be patched or modded? I've just gotten D3 and I can tell I'm going to be annoyed at some of the balance stuff (like being able to claim nodes with summons and so on) and if things like that are likely to be changed either officially or modded, I'd probably prefer to wait for a few weeks to play.

Breaking rods and capturing cities with summons was always possible ... there is not so much of a difference now.

Only in D3. In D2 you could attack cities with summons, but not capture them, even if you defeated the guardians.

I've been trying to find a solution for camera speed too. I agree, the starting acceleration is too slow. I'd prefer it at maximum to start too.

There are config files in Disciples 3/System called system and user. You can edit them. You'll see stuff that relates to this, but I've yet to solve it.
