Recession is in nowadays! As this, it was said that the recession, some say, has taught us all to be more accountable spenders.

Click here for the proof: Late credit card payments at their lowest since 1994

RE: My Tropico island is in a RECESSION!
My solution to the problem of feeding my population is simple: Fishes.

In the beginning of the game, I will first rely on humanitarian aid to give food and healthcare to my population, so that I can focus on building up a strong industrial base for my island. Once the money start coming in, build some Fisherman's Wharfs. Lots and lots of Fisherman's Wharfs.

And if just to be on the safe side, use part of your island as a farming zone with 3-4 corn farms.

Once you have done that, as long as theses building are fully staffed you will be set for life. For the rest of the game, food will no longer be an issue for your island.
