If you have an administrator working for you, you can order him to stockpile goods.
All you need to do is to select the goods you want to stockpile in the Selling part of the counting houses trade screen. Type the amount you want to stockpile in the box and select the small lock in front of the box.
By activating the lock you order your captains to leave that specific amount of goods in the countinghouse, while you also tell your administrator to keep them in your countinghouse at all time, meaning he will sell up to that amount.

The reason why you shouldn't set the amount in the buying selection, is that you need to increase the amount you want to buy, if the city is producing the goods and you're picking them up to have your captains selling them in other cities.

Hi! Might be a silly question, but, if you lock those goods, can you still take them out of your counting house manually? Say, if you're founding a new town for the Hanseatic League and you're stockpiling wood and bricks?

I was wondering, is this sheet really possible to follow through? I have 600 houses in lübeck to house 60k workers, but I could only fit in 430-450 ish business places, and around 20-30ish warehouses. That leaves about 120 workspaces that I just can't see, is this sheet dependent on perfect building placement?

It is and it is a rough estimate in some cases because there are towns where it is easy to get more than 600 workspaces and houses errected and others where it is difficult to get 500 errecteed. But with time and money it is possible to get 600ws and 600h in all citys. If you don't give away too much to the streets and only buils small wells you are able to do it and even have enough space for chapels, hospitals, the university and the mint. Even the min. needed warehouses are possible to fit in after you have done the research for doubling the warehousespace per strukture.

Hein

PS: Sorry i just realised that there is "MINDEN", a town where you couln't even build 500 ws and h. So i have to think about my planning for a full scale hanse again. 450 will be possible in any case and the avarage for all 40 towns still will be 600. But the differsification is between 450 and 750.

in some towns you can build more than 1400 buildungs in some less than 1000 (both without "perfect" placement but with good placement)
(2 buildings = 100 citizen)

Hy

I have a problem with the list. I need numbers of possible buildings in half of the 40 citys.

OK first the way you should count them. Houses + facilitys / 2. And you will have to let the space for the needed chapels and spitals and the mint and the university and of cause for 20 warehouses.

That way and with a savety marge, so you will nor be forced to experiment too much to reach the number of possible buildings in that towns, i have numbers for the following towns:

Ahus: 620 (production facilitys and the same amount of houses possible)
Bergen: 550
Danzig: 610
Flensburg: 480
Göteborg: 680
Haarlem: 550
Königsberg: 610
Lübeck: 550
Minden: 370 (the smalest of all towns)
Naestved: 550
Nimwegen: 600
Novgorod: 610
Oslo: 600
Reval: 580
Riga: 600
Ripen: 710 (the biggest i have up to date)
Rostock: 560
Stavanger: 580
Thorn: 580

So if some of you have build up one of the following towns to the max. meaning all available space within the walls is occupied by buildings, please post the number of houses and the number of production sides:

Aalborg 600
Berlin
Boston
Bremen
Breslau
Brügge
Cologne
Edinburg
Erfurt
Groningen
Hamburg 670
Helsinki
Kaunas
London 510
Malmö
Posen
Scarborough 550
Stettin
Stockholm 500
Warschau

Please only the houses and production sides within the citywalls, and with the city wall build up to the max. possible extension.

THX for all replies

Hein
edit: verified dates for some towns added

Sorry Thorin was verry bussy over the last 3 month.
But i think i will be able to do a bit of P4 in during the next 2 weekends.
I now have a count for the max. possible buildings for all 40 towns. At the monent i try to decide on a reasonable amount of possible production sides that should be possible even for players that waste some space because they don't want to bother too long about space efficiancy within the walls.
I hope to have a new calculation with realistic numbers for a full scale Hanse at the end of october.
The first translation into english is nearly complete, too. But the tables for the calculation of towns and convoys in a full scale Hanse have to wait till the new calculation is finished.

OK the new basic data for P4G is now ready to be checked for GB and US english. After that i will publish them. So they should be ready for you at the beginning of march.

Hein

PS: during that time i will translate it to german, so the german and the english version should be published at the same day.

You can only modify the game using the game Modding Tools found here --->
http://forum.kalypsomedia.com/showthread...876&page=5

or you edit the data files directly using this tool which I think works for Patrician as well. But save your files first.

I hate to dig up old stuff this late, but are the values in the 10 day demand calculations here up to date? They differ from what a 60,000 population's 10-day demands are in my game, and I was checking a city which definitely did not require any raw materials. In particular, I find that in my version (latest Rise of a Dynasty) demand is generally lower than is shown in the document here.

@DDR Jake

The calculations are based on almost entirely on the work by Bagaluth and he has disappeared, not on-line since 2013.
I've found that the numbers act as a reasonable guide in deciding when to top up the warehouses. Population is never exactly a round number so these are really estimates, good estimates but estimates all the same.

The numbers are off to enough of an amount that I'm wondering if the addon has altered demand in some way.  Firstly, these are the 60k 10-day demands for a city with no raw-goods need for factories:

Comparing these with the values on the spreadsheets, I'm finding a difference of 15 barrels demand on Wood, Hemp, Metal Goods, Wine and Spices as well as a 6 barrel difference on the demand for grain.

I am trying to create a Perfect Hansa, with the exception of not fulfilling the demands for spices and clothes everywhere, because I refuse to micromanage expeditions (Which degrade in their 5* rating over time!) However I am finding that I build an excess of quite a few goods despite them being sold everywhere at all times.

Here is my setup of population and factories (random goods setup) and, despite the numbers appearing to add up to the numbers given in the basic data sheet here, I end up with a significant overproduction of wood, hemp, metal goods and wine (possibly due to differences between basic data and game) but stranger still, I end up vastly overproducing Brick, despite the values in Basic Data and the game being the same.
