Odd. I've never acted as a pirate, nor have I ever turned over any ships for a pirate to use. And likewise, I've never been offered cheap goods. This is what made me think the two events were linked: no piracy, no cheap goods.

That's because the good are offered in random taverns the moment the pirates have captured enough of them.

Ah! And since I pounce on pirates as soon as they appear and put them out of business, they never get the chance to sell off their plunder. Now it makes sense!

You can also get your goods back by attacking the pirates that attacked your convoy before they get back to port.

Is the patch really coming out? I mean the next expansion will upgrade the game to 2.0 or 2.0.1. Well, I suppose all this "wishes" can be introduced with the expansion.

I've done that a number of times, but it seems I only got back a portion of what had been taken (along with some goods that had apparently been taken from other convoys).

Probably you only get the amount of goods that could be carried by the ship you finally entered...

RE: Patch 1.4 wishlist
I'd like a way to change buy/sell prices on all my convoys globally. Same with administrators.

Example: I'm flooded with grain, so I want my guys to only buy when price is above 40 (so I'm not adding to my already fat stocks) and sell down to 44 just to get rid of the stuff. Then, when I've burned off excess stock, I'll re-adjust back to normal levels. Right now, I have to go through all my convoys and admins. Too much work, so I just end up stockpiling until demand increases or shutting off production (which I won't do unless everthing else fails).

This function should also allow all convoys assigned to a saved route to change IF the saved route changes. (maybe that's another thing).

I'd also like to be able to set popups or flags to warn me when I'm running low on stocks needed for production: Like cloth in Danzig. A little guy pops up and says, "sorry to bother you, your majesty, in the middle of your bath and all, but you wanted to know when cloth in your Danzig warehouse dropped below 25 tons. It has now." As a bonus he could cower as my cursor changes to a brick I can throw at him. Tongue

RE: Patch 1.4 wishlist
I would like to be able to downgrade ships by removing (selling?) cannons. If this is going to be a (somewhat) realistic simulation then there is no reason why you couldn't remove cannons to increase cargo space. Whenever I capture a ship it always has cannons and sometimes I would like to take the larger ships and use them for cargo (I always fight with one crayer and have one for escort of every trade route). But with 20 cannons a cog is reduced to 260 capacity (which brings up the subject of why the second upgrade costs 1.5 times as much space per cannon than the first).
