Multiplayer Disconnect Issue
I purchased 2 copies of Grand Ages Rome Gold Edition at Target, so my son and I could play in multiplayer mode.
We are able to create a game, and join, and the game starts up, but after building a few buildings, my son gets a message that says:
“You have been disconnected from the online server, please check your internet connection and try again.”
But his internet connection is fine, showing 5 bars, and he is able to connect to other websites. Also, he can get back to your server.
He is using a wireless on the same LAN as I. I’m connected directly.
I do not get disconnected.
We are both running version:
2.02.301
We have tried several times, with either he or I creating the game, and the result is the same each time.
We also tried turning off the virus scanner, but that didn’t help either.
Is there a patch, or can you offer any suggestions?
Thanks

It happens only on the machine that is connected to the LAN via wireless. It doesn't matter who starts the game. If he starts the game, after he got the disconnect message, I also got the disconnect message one time when I stayed on long enough (about 5 minutes) after he had been disconnected.
But as soon as he is disconnected, he can get right back onto the server. He is also showing a good wireless signal (5/5 bars).
