Thank you for making this game and I will pay for it.

I really hope this game can keep the "life" part.

lair, chicken, arena, monster level up system.

that's the part make the game alive, not just killing good guys.

Okay, I think it's better to warn you about this before you buy a game under a misconception: None of those things are in Dungeons. Basically, everything you do with monsters in Dungeons is find a monster "shelter" somewhere in the underworld and when you've made it a part of your dungeon you can say where you want monsters to spawn. Later on you level up all your monsters by buying an upgrade for them. Dungeons is not Dungeon Keeper.

That being said, Dungeons is fun and isn't just killing good guys. It's about making an exciting dungeon where they can have adventures and then killing them when they're super-happy. So, unlike Evil Genius and Dungeon Keeper, if you manage to kill the enemy in the first room you're doing it wrong. You want them to kill monsters, trigger traps, find treasure and equipment and learn spells and generally have a good time as they work their way towards the point where you kill them dead and suck their souls out.

So yeah, good times. It's just a diffrent kind of good times. Try the demo and give it a chance on it's own merits. Smile

I find that I play the humane Dungeonlord. Do all the above, then let them rot in prison and lose almost all of their soul energy before releasing them. This has the side effect of resetting the timer of the Champions, which is all good.

Oh, the champions are based on how often people die in your dungeon? I didn't know that! Neat!

The Champion is on a timer, but there's ways of affecting the timer beyond just waiting.

Releasing a hero from prison adds time to the timer, delaying the Champion.

Torturing or sacrificing a hero subtracts time, making the Champion come sooner.

Killing a hero yourself, rather than letting a monster kill it, subtracts time, making the Champion come sooner.

There's an option in the game files somewhere about bribing Champions with gold to make them go away, but it's disabled by default, and I haven't
jplayed with it yet, so I don't know if it's usable yet.
