Is This game anti- Christian?
Was just wondering if this game painted Christianity in a bad light? I think it looks really cool but I don't want to waste my money if it does.

This is a game by a serious company and a serious publisher...so no, it's not anti-christian.

RE: Is This game anti- Christian?
kinda hard to say.. But it looks like a fairly dark RPG..

t
I guess it all depends on how you wanna veiw your history. is this game historically accurate? i havent a clue, almost nothing has been writen about its content. If it is historically accurate it may have many topics/themes that are uncomphortable for some.

they werent called the "dark ages" for no reason. It would be nice if for a change something was done that was historically accurate, not just fantasy fluff.

found this little excerpt on wiki of all things, though its a story i have heard before in history class..

At dawn on Friday, October 13, 1307, scores of French Templars were simultaneously arrested by agents of King Philip, later to be tortured in locations such as the tower at Chinon, into admitting heresy in the Order. Over 100 charges were issued against them, the majority of them identical charges that had been earlier issued against the inconvenient Pope Boniface VIII: accusations of denying Christ, spitting and urinating on the cross, and devil worship. The main interrogation of the Templars was under the control of the Inquisitors, a group of experienced interrogators and clergy who circulated around Europe at the beck and call of any European noble. The rules of interrogation said that no blood could be drawn, but this did nothing to stop the torture. One account told of a Templar who had fire applied to the soles of his feet, such that the bones fell out of the skin. Other Templars were suspended upside-down or placed in thumbscrews. Of the 138 Templars (many of them old men) questioned in Paris over the next few years, 105 of them "confessed" to denying Christ during the secret Templar initiations. 103 confessed to an "obscene kiss" being part of the ceremonies, and 123 said they spat on the cross. Throughout the trial there was never any physical evidence of wrongdoing, and no independent witnesses; the only "proof" was obtained through confessions induced by torture.[7] The Templars reached out to the Pope for assistance, and Pope Clement did write letters to King Philip questioning the arrests, but took no further action.

dark light? You decide..

Basically it is an action-adventure with rpg elements, not a rpg game.

If it was historically accurate, it might be a bit boring. You'd be playing bankers and wine makers Tongue.

I'm a Christian myself, and very religious. For me, I wouldn't get this game if it was anti-Christian(maybe same feelings as the original poster?). But the game looks pro-Christian to me. It's one of the reasons I can't wait to try it out.

I haven't seen anything about how the story is though, only what I've seen in the trailers and screenshots. It appears to me that you play two characters that try to regain honour and truth in the Church. Other knights and Templars become corrupt, start doing bad things, then you have to find the Holy Grail to reclaim what was lost, to bring light into the darkness. I could be wrong Wink.

@Tropi'je: That doesn't paint Christianity in a dark light(if that was your intention?). That's about a coward broke king.

its a game.. its about the templar, if you dont find the crusades and church corruption offensive you will like it i supose..

.. it could be interesting, But the idea of Action adventure, not RPG, makes me think diablo.. Now im not so sure i wanna play. I was hoping something a lot more like "the witcher"

No, it is not a Witcher which is a rpg game.
If you are more in this type of games you will like our rpg game "The Black Eye - Demonicon" which will be released in 2012 for pc and consoles.
