Hey all! Just want to say I LOVE the game! Patrician IV was just way to easy for me on professional so I downloaded the ROAD expansion in hopes it would be more challenging. (from the same site, D2D)

Only issue I had from Patrician IV is it would lock up after an hour or two of me playing. (It always locked up a few minutes after an event would happen and you get the cutscene in the top left. The catch is, it would always be black! So I knew when to save my game and restart the game)

The expansion however, is unplayable! It's starts up just fine, loading screen is great. Main menu is great! When I actually get into the game (free play only since the Campaign is just way way way to easy) All of my menu's in-game are missing the background on them. The text is missing on the menus as well. I change the resolution to try and fix the issue. (the city also disappears but changing resolution fixes that) After changing the resolution 2 to 3 times to fix the menu issue's the game goes into a window mode and locks up in a black screen and I receive the following error:

.Resources/IndexBufferManager_Dx9.cpp(86) : Error in 'Render::IndexBufferManager_Dx9::onUnload' : Vertexbuffer lock failed: 8876086c

I have my dx.diag but I can find a spot on here to attach it.

Thanks for any help! I got a three day weekend and would love to waste it playing the expansion lol.

PS. I have reinstalled my graphics drivers.
PSS. When I start a game it runs SOOOOOOOOOOOO slow, but after I change the resolution once it's flawless. Very weird. (changing resolution higher or lower doesn't matter)
