shanty must be smaller than bunkhouse in T4
Since T3 might have done its role, I'd like to

transfer the proposed features to T4 and the pending

matters T3 hadn't done well

Got Tropico 4 and glad to see that the shanties, though still are at the same size but modified to conclude more rooms.

They are much more usefull now, especially with the larger islands of T4, space is no longer such an issue. In T3 you could litterly fill every nook and crany and then some. T4, i have yet to even come close on many of the islands.

I love setting up little shanty towns down by the docks, or farms. Or even far off low end tourist areas. It is also a great way to get all the homeless in a place they can live semi comfortably.

Set up shanty, clinic, market and some free entertainment though your options on that are very limited.

it is a great way to not worry about shacks on your island from unemployed.

In my own experience, I've found that you don't loose that much income by just putting up a bunch of free tenements, even if some people choose to live in them over paying for apartments.

On the other hand, it seems after 10 years I'm always raking in millions no matter what.

Yes,

I agree with u now. Shanties are so useful at the inital stage of the island under low budget.

Btw, "free entertainment": how could u set free for it? As I tried but the fee to enter pubs is set to min. 1 peso. If I 'm not wrong, we would set free entry (0 peso) for an entertainment building in Tropico 1.

for the most part you can't but you can use that big tall fire momument, that doesnt cost any money to use and provides some entertainment. There might be something else too that i am missing.

I do wish they would change all entertainment buildings to allow zero entry like T1.. I always liked having a free pub Wink

Omg, it sounds strange to manage free entertainment like that Cool

Btw, as informed, people might enjoy sea-viewing alongside the beaches in T4. Is it correct? How funny would they feel ? i mean the entertainment index.

Free pubs/other entertainment buldings: I'm wondering why the devs didn't keep free fee as it was in T1? As the min.fee is at 1 peso, the retired and students would only get it, while it's a stop for the unemployed. There's an edict "fre house for everyone", why not a "free beer evryone" ?

But, I sometimes saw the unemployed entered pubs, did u see it ?, i.e they were still keeping some pennies after being laid off. But, if it's so, why couldn't they pay for rent charge for some months but lived in shacks?

In soviet tropico the unemployed would recieve a check anyhow - its not their fault the government aint providing enough jobs Smile

There could be another edict like the social security but for unemployed people.

Because El Presidente despise drunks, he will ensure you will be fed, medicated and prayers anwsered but you will not become freeloading drunks on the Island.

Due to the efficiency of shanties in the initial stage of the island (cheap, no maitaining cost, quick to build, quick to destroy when you want to improve your town), it helps save so much money.

In T3, many players ignored it. But. now it's worth consideration. The communism faction won't complain u at all.
