El presidente the world is going to end on the day, 6 months from now. Religious everywhere rejoice, and goto church twice as much, religious faction +30, intelectuals -15, caplitalists -5, over all production down because of religious going to church more often.

You don't think this goes right along with inquistion or Book burning? how hillarious would it be to see a few very religiuos tropicans standing on corners starting little protests.. The end is near ! Not decreasing productivty with some abitray number, but actually seen ingame in the form of mini protests from the religious, poping up in lots of places. protests would be completely ignored by intelectuals. but a lot of the population could get caught up in the whole thing.

With new interactive events, it could also increase the chance that a disaster happens, if it does people could convert to religious faction and give a permant bonus to religiuos faction, like +5 of something.. If not, people might leave it, but no other ill effects to religiuos. make it a permant effect, (perhaps adjust the numbers a bit) But similar to how nucular testing or some of the other edicts work. perhaps intelectuals will always have a slightly lesser veiw of el president for trying to pull this one over on the people. they think either he is just taking advantage of people, or he is looney and really thought it was true. then agian who knows,.. it might of happened and we dont even know it. IF it does happen they just think it was random chance.


It could also have the side effect of increasing money to your swiss fund from your banks. To me this could be the main reason to use this "meglomaniac Edict" perhaps it could double the rate for a short time, The end is near, aka 1 year from now, the edict doubles bank slush fund funneling for one year. costs 10k to activate. (one time only, cost is the same as papal vist) Its all a ploy from el presidente to play of the religious distract the population while he funnels huge money into his pockets.. in the end it should have a lasting effect on the population.



I dunno, i think it fits right in with tropico humor, and game play makes a lotta sence.. Im currious to those that dont like, what dont you like about it?

I'd be in favor of an option to choose an early retirement.

If you know the end is coming (for you), might as well make a clean break while you still can, right?
