i tried playing the game but every time i run the game it goes to a black screen and then says it stoped working. it gives me this info on the problem

1. which version (download or retail) are you running?
2. did you install all patches or are you running the gold version?

Wow! I'm surprised. How many of these theads do we need. Timo, can we get a handle on these repeated threads?! It congests the forum, and makes a decent search more difficult. You should have a moderator whose sole responsibility is to clean up this forum, and catch these repeated threads. You do a good job of answering our questions, but a poor job of organizing this forum. Do you need some help? I’m willing, and I know a few others are too. These newbies should at least take the time out to review the forum before posting an identical question/thread. There are tons of these, and other theads that we can do without, and at the very least, moderated correctly.

problem solved! i read the steam and tropico3+ap thing and it was because i had another screen activated. thanks for the help
