I am very sorry to here this, but as a terrorist fighter since 1977, I am sure that no country is exempt from these cowardly attacks. I don’t have to translate your excerpts you gave us. You have to remember that terrorism is exactly as it’s stated. To cause TERROR!

I never let it bother me. I will fly, rail, drive, or sail to places I want, and not let them force me into TERROR. Once you do that, then they win by default. Stand strong with your country, and the freedom it provides. These are cowardly nations, and/or their beliefs. Stand strong. In the end, we the nations of freedom will win. When I talk about terrorist, I don’t place religion there, or nationality. It’s terrorism just the same with the same results, and same type of pathetic reason. Keep it up, your rep is growing!!

Well of course, terrorism isn't any different no matter who does it. It's just sad and shocking that an ETHNIC Norwegian can do such a thing to his own country. He really must hate Labour Party. He killed 10 teenagers after an attack at a summer camp belonging to the Labour Party.

Remember way back when. The UNI-BOMBER here in the USA. He had no affiliation except his own radical belief. Simply a home grown terrorist. No different then what you’re going through. You just simply have to move on, and conduct your life as usual, and just be a little more alert to your surroundings. Don’t let them terrorize YOU!!

The news report here just compared your attack to our UNI-BOMBER as I posted previously. This is such a tragedy in your country, and I hope all of you can get beyond it. I’m not a religious man myself, but if there is a God, and you believe in him, may your path be guided by him.

Right now our nation is going through a terrific heat-wave that covers over 55% of our country... including NYC. 27 deaths are attributed to this, and I’m sure more to come. This is like natures terrorism in a small sense of the word, not to degrade yours.

Germany takes exception to Neo-Natism, and that may be why. Here we’re talking about terrorism in general, and swaying to that type of conversation may sway the moderators to delete this one also. So, it’s best to leave that alone, don’t you think? You might want to delete that post so not to give attention to it, and have a respectful thread deleted.

I'm not religious either I do not fear further attacks, as the perpetrator was caught. However, all those poor teenagers at that camp he killed won't be forgotten. We can't sentence the man to death here, but I hope they will make his 21 years in prison a bloody nightmare.

One scary thought is, that if I had been 2-3 years older, I would be at that camp.

Guys like that usually get killed in prison. At least I can hope.

21 years ? Outrage !!! He should be hanged with " I am a child murderer and terrorist " sign hanging from his neck or at least get life sentence. People like him deserve no mercy.

I'm always surprised that so many people think the death penalty is not appropriate for punishment in situations like this. I mean, what are they going to do with him? Lock him up and waste tax payers' money for years upon years so he can't hurt anyone but they won't actually execute him for it? That's illogical and inefficient. Just a simple execution, save all the hassel, and serve some justice. Efficiency and justice win out together and the world is a safer place.

Here in America we have a number of states that no longer allow the death penalty. They are labeled as "progressive" and "forward thinking" as if they're so much more evolved than the rest of us neophytes who prefer swift and simple justice. They would rather spend millions of dollars keeping up massive prison systems than simply terminate the problem at its source. I don't understand the way they think. Do they think that allowing the person to live in squalor and filth in some prison for the rest of his life is somehow more humane than just ending it right away? This makes no sense...

I’m not a big supporter of the death penalty, and I’ll tell you why.

If I were to commit a crime that required the death penalty, I would gladly accept it, rather than be in a 4x8 cell for life, or an extended period of time. I would just simply go nuts. So I’d rather be executed.

Therefore, let these terrorist, murderers of what ever sort live out their lives dormant, and suffer prison justice however it may be served by the inmates. I would pay much more in tax’s to see this done. Execution is quick now-a-days, and most states have lethal injections. That’s like putting your beloved animal to sleep.

Well, the simplest answer to that (but one most people probably wouldn't accept) would be to execute the perpetrator in the same manner he killed his victims. Perfect justice?

That would still be a quick death. Let the person suffer!!!

Most terrorist, murderers kill their victims quickly (I did say most, not all). Prolonged suffering is better, and I for one am willing to pay for it in tax’s.

Well, if Hell is real then their suffering certainly isn't going to end with a quick death...

But we may have strayed a bit off topic. I hope the people of Norway are able to band together and cope with this as a nation. If they are, they will only become stronger for it. I'm looking forward to seeing them come striding into the Olympic Stadium next year proud and undefeated (well, untill they lose to Us in the games).

If you are to kill a terrorist, fine. But not in a way that makes him a martyr. Do it in the least glorifying way possible and bury him at sea so that no shrine can be built in his name.

However, it is better to turn him against his allies than to kill him. Seeing believers betray demoralizes the organization... and helps it become weak and frail.
